Hartpury College aims to enable students to be the ‘Best they can Become’. We produce students who are skilled and knowledgeable, employable and adaptable. Promoting high quality research, scholarship and practice is central to our values at Hartpury college.
We pride ourselves on conducting exceptional applied research and scholarship in the subject areas of Animal and Land, Equine and Sport. Our research at Hartpury helps students on their journey to becoming active researchers, scholars and practitioners.
The Hartpury research journal is run by a team of staff and student volunteers who are involved in selecting, reviewing and editing work for inclusion in the journal. The journal only accepts submissions from Hartpury College students and primarily features work by undergraduate students.
The aims of the journal are:
- To celebrate student excellence via publication of our high quality student research and independent study projects.
- To disseminate student achievement in terms of research and scholarly activity in each of the subject areas.
- To support and enhance research-informed teaching.
- To encourage reflection and a critical approach to research in students.
